Funny you mention that, my town's Pizza Hut used to be more like a traditional restaurant where you could sit down and a waiter would get your order, they also had a little buffet. That property has since become an Applebees-type place and Pizza Hut moved next door. The new location is just shameful.

Domino's and Little Caesar's have had the same spartan store concept for decades. Only the ordering kiosks and to-go pizza stations are relatively new. Even back in the 80s, the Domino's near my house had only an ordering counter and a bench and the rest of the store was dedicated to preparing the food. Same with Little Caesar's although they had a couple of small tables as well.

Looks like Klaus is running most major corporations now: Bud, Porsche, Jaguar and now Pizza Hut.

What's funny is that you could always run two different style stores. Like how banks offer ATMs and walk-ins. Make a fully modern carryout location that you can place in more remote areas for a greater service umbrella with smaller staff, and then the full-serve restaurants that are kitsch throwbacks to the glory days of 80s Pizza Hut with the Tiffany style lamps, dim booths, a couple of arcade cabinets, the ability to use a "celebration room" with modular walls that can be opened up, and the buffet. Win-Win.
