Person X is a male. X wants to find a wife Y. X would like Y to be a virgin because celibate females are more likely to have successful marriages and because celibacy shows strong virtues.

Is X a hypocrite if he himself has had pre-marital sex?

Can X only reasonably expect to find a virgin wife if he himself is also a virgin?

Should X expect Y to be okay with X not being a virgin?

  2. No. But it'll be less likely as X gets older.

  3. If X doesn't want his wicked past to be a constant point of contention within the relationship, he'll find a Y that's less judgemental than himself.
