Boy is this tough. Her heart is still going strong and has normal blood pressure. The doc says it could be another week. She's not in pain anymore and is just on autopilot. It's unbelievably surreal to me that in another few days from now she won't be here. I've known her 50 years of my life, and she's been there for me through thick and thin. But this is the natural order of things and I must accept it, but man does it hurt.

Damn man. The years go so quickly. Be strong for mom. I hope there’s peace and strength for all.

It does. While you're in the moment you don't think so but next thing you know you end up here. We are all telling each other fun stories of her or just stories of days gone by. It's nice.

Stay with when she goes. If you have kids, have them visit her as often as possible. You and any kids you have are the most precious things in the world to her, so make sure she is surrounded by what she loves on her way out.

Truth. If you are not there when she actually goes, you may regret it for years.

Especially for a mom. We developed in her, fed off of her, shared stem cells and she loved us when we were completely helpless. It is only right to return that love to her so that her last feeling is our love, and the last thing she sees is our face.

Sorry this is happening. Stay strong and in a few months take some time off if you can to decompress. Its hard to deal with things this hard while you have everything else going on.

It's good you are there.

Take good care of her, it is good for both of you. Grieve when she is gone, but be there for her now. She's in good hands.

Tough stuff ... thanks for sharing. It will still be a bit for my parents but you can see it coming

May the Lord bless you and keep you and yours safe and secure. I understand it is tough, if you are able to, focus on the joys of her life and her positive impact for you and others.

Your totally right. Mom and I told stories all night. I stayed the night with her in the room. I needed that so much.

Hard to believe where the time goes. Be there as much as you can for her, as she was for you. Be strong.

We just overnighted together and told stories for a while. Well it told her stories, fun memories we shared.

Sounds like a hood use of the time. Laughter helps.

Oh yeah, we laughed lots. Well I laughed for both of us.

My heart is one with you in your grief, brother. We are spiritual beings having a physical experience that only lasts as a vapor in time. The Lord God has mightier things planned. I will keep you and your family close to my prayers. God Bless.

My condolences man. Are you able to talk to her

The last sense to leave her is hearing the doc says. She's catatonic now but I got to stay with her all night and we told stories and reminisced about all sorts of stuff. I needed it so much.

Hope you get as much time with her as you can

i'm sorry to hear this bro. I wish you, your mother and your family well and God bless you all. Tough no matter the age.

A good friend of mine had his mother on hospice for a year and a half before she passed.
