Quebecois usually look down their noses at anyone who isn't Quebecois, especially other Canadians.

That's OK, real French HATE the Québécois accent. It is as grating as hearing Ebonics is for us. Real French and everyone else hate them, so they can go get fucked.

I hear they have an annual booger-picking contest. The Quebecois call it "Christmas".

It's an ancient tradition for them.

Their Quebec Winter Carnival is a lot of fun in February. I went a few times before 9/11.

Every one of them I ever met was a fruitcake. It's always disappointing when they fail to succeed. They're constantly voting for Liberals and they generally hate the English. It could be because no one gives a shit about them or gives them the time of day. It love to have only English labeling as well. No one outside of Fagtario speaks French.

You are correct on both points. Though I was using inductive reasoning to gauge the Anglo perception of Quebecois by citing this survey. I can tell you however that the reverse is definitely true.

In what ways do they piss off the english?

Lots of reasons.

  • They (Quebec) get $13 billion a year from the rest of Canada in equalization transfers, basically free money to prop up their inefficient public sector, while they fail to extract their own natural resources.

  • They prevent Alberta from building natural gas and crude oil pipelines to the east coast because "muh green energy", while hurting not just Alberta but the entire country in the process

  • They essentially wage war against the English language in their own province and use the notwithstanding clause (constitutional override) to legalize it after the fact. For example, English is not even recognized as an official language in Quebec, while the rest of Canada is forced to learn French (90% don't end up learning to speak it anyway). Most people hate studying French in school. Anglophones in Montreal and other areas of Quebec are often mistreated and are disadvantaged over there.

  • They are often very arrogant, cowardly, selfish, atheistic, feminist, leftist, and are xenophobic towards Anglophones. They also get very easily offended. Quebec is #1 for mass shootings in Canada despite having the lowest per capita rate of gun ownership. Canada's gun laws went down the toilet after one mass shooting in Quebec and now there is an entire religion based off gun control in Canada. This mainly originated from Quebec.

  • As alluded to previously, they are mostly anti-gun (a reason why many Conservative Anglos also hate them)

If it were to happen right now, I suspect damn near every Canadian would vote "yes" and immediately punt Quebec. His riding is in Quebec, so if they leave, they take Trudeau with them.

They had an independence referendum in '95 but it failed by a narrow margin. I wish they did.
