Widowmakers hung in the trees.

This is the first think that caught my eye as well. I still haven't found the deer.

Their beady black eyes are staring right at you.......

Had to cheat after 20 minutes of looking for snakes and spiders. Good eyes. Kudos to CTCZ for the post and thank you for the new desktop background.

I cheated and I had to super-zoom to find them.

Exactly. Thankfully I was able to flee to safety - this time.

I'd starve or be ate.. I studied the pic on my phone, thought I could see some snakes, checked the comments, enlarged the pic, studied some more.. finally saw them after a while. No way I'd see them in the woods with my eyesight.

@Frosty

Best picture of the year.

Are they dog, coyote, or wolf?

This is why I could never be a hunter. I'd never find the prey

It's like those 3d optical illusions from the 90s. Where's Waldeer?

Two deer? Or are they wolves/coyote (using my phone currently) right next to each other too.

1656x1369 and 1698x1354

Strike? At that range i never miss.

Yet they blend in so well, many here can spend minutes surveying a scene and miss not just one but two of them, staring right at them

Of course. Even experienced hunters (Me) will not always see them if they did not see them moving in. I found the eyes first.

Just to the right (in the picture) of that hollowed out snag I see two tasty morsels staring out in fear, for they know I am a true predator and they are my feeble prey.
