I have a RPI setup to track ADS-B. It pipes it's data to Flight24 and as such I get a free "premium" account. It is pretty amusing to be able to bring up a local map that shows all of the aircraft around you. I used it a couple of months ago to see why a chopper was flying low and making loops around town. Turns out (from the registration) I was able to figure out they were looking for methane leaks from old oil wells.

I have one of those SDR sticks that was meant for digital television. It makes a great cheap-ass spectrum analyzer when you're just looking for interference spurs.
