I enjoyed this post, I’m not ever going to use this technique, but I enjoy learning how things are done and how to fix something that appears broken beyond repair. His results were great, I didn’t like his original mug, I think it looked much better repaired. The Japanese also have an artistic method to repair holes in clothing that I read about. I have some jeans I like with holes that I may use that technique to revive.
I think I've seen a video of that. You get a patch of fabric or thread that is the same type as the garment and literally weave it into the existing weave thread by thread. Results are amazing. But fuck that lol. My clothes aren't that expensive. I'll just use an iron on patch for my work pants.
