Noticed my ~5 year old beard trimmer wasn't holding a charge (always flashed "low battery"). Figured it couldn't be that hard, and rather than buy a new one (throw away society, I hate it! I am a repair-everything person) I got a $7.00 replacement battery (slightly higher capacity in same form factor, a few years of battery progress!) and replaced it.

All taken apart, to find out model number of battery.(pic8.co) Battery and cabling and charging circuit board (tiny thin green) was shrink-wrapped probably for simplicity of assembly. Little pieces of paper glued on the battery's terminals to cover up the surface solder points. Good construction.

New battery soldered in and continuity checked.(pic8.co) Just hot-glued the circuit board to the side of the battery this time and didn't fuck with the other insulating elements. The way the battery sits in there is quite snug and shouldn't contact anything to short-circuit. Don't doxx fingerprints please.

Tucked into case.(pic8.co)

All done.(pic8.co) I checked that the trimmer worked prior to putting the case on.

Nice dude, how well does it work, I am constantly looking for trimmer/shaver that actually works.

This Wahl trimmer is pretty sturdy; Wahl I think does a good job with service and build quality. However, this is the only trimmer I've ever owned

I've been through probably 30. The one I have right now is one that someone was throwing out and its by far the best one I've ever had. I don't even know the brand, I should go look at it.
