I must add, I'm not sure you can replicate my results as the soap I remilled for my screw lubrication was a sort of failed batch of soap I didn't much like and I didn't want to spend money remilling it with expensive vodka which was my usual method so I substituted much cheaper rubbing alcohol. I also haven't tried it with store bought soap which would be interesting. You can also just run a bunch of partial soap bar scraps through a cheese grater and heat them up with a bit of water to make one larger bar of soap.
