How things change. I worked on the flight line when I was in the service and if you came back to the shop missing a tool that plane was grounded. Everyone who worked on the plane that shift was out there looking for it until it was found. No exceptions. I've seen aircraft being disassembled looking for a damn socket. If you had been on multiple aircraft, they were all grounded.

DEI is retarded.

did not commence the lost tool procedure once the tool had been identified as missing, and the certifying engineer released the aircraft for service with the tool unaccounted for

Guess the name of the engineer!

I'll make a case that whoever did this wasn't a real engineer.
