We sent our son to a Christian school after he got abused at public school. It was night and day in the quality of his education and attitude. He still went through a rebellious poo head teenage phase, but they all do. I think he's better adjusted in his 20's than I am in my 40's sometimes. Home schooling probably would have been better but this was the next best option we could do at the time. Be involved is probably the best I can offer. Even the crap that seems stupid and insignificant, he'll notice and one day appreciate that you were. You'll ALWAYS feel like you could have done better. Oh and, enjoy it as much as you can. He will be moving forward before you know it.

I am glad he is well adjusted and all that school drama is behind him - he sounds lucky to have you as a parent. You got that right - that you can always feel like you could have done better, I am already starting to feel that way about certain things!
