Notice he primed us by couching the main story (Hungary's SJW ban) in another one that was only loosely related (Elin Errson saves a woman-beater).

This is a dirty tactic. Would we really want to cheer a government limiting people's freedoms if he'd just gone into the main story without the preface?

I don't like SJWs, but I would not like it if my government did something like this. I would say a better approach (for USA) would be to cut the state funding and the state-backed loans. Maybe apply existing anti-discrimination laws to college admissions (and prevent them from using subjective measures to determine who gets accepted). That way being admitted to a college or university would be harder and reflect determination and merit. You wouldn't squander something like that on a gender studies degree.

I admit banning gender studies outright will probably be effective, but most of the thought bans I've experienced have targeted conservative thinking so I don't like it as a tactic.
