You're absolutely right.
I've been through the legal system multiple times. Never talk to cops, regardless of what your lawyer says, and definitelty don't tell your girlfriend what you're up to, if she could use it against you. Because that bitch will.
A good lawyer can help you navigate the system. But they don't really care. (Unless you get Sidney Powell)
Another thing too, is that even if you were only accused of one thing/act, they'll blow it up into 20+ different charges and try to get you to agree with just a few, otherwise you're facing 20 years if they all add up. Also, lawyers will often want you to plead guilty and make a deal. Unless you're fucked and you know you're fucked, fight it all the way.
Remove preconceived idea of justice from your mind, the only thing that counts is money. There is no justice.
