It's essentially a club where likeminded individuals help each other to better their position in society, networking, public service, and many other things. There is much more to it. Many Whites become masons for the same reasons. Only the highest degreed masons know the whole story.

I'd guess the black masons to be Christian, upstanding citizens who have adopted White culture and want to be successful while adhering to the law of the land. They want to differentiate themselves from the disgusting street nigger trope by aspiring to higher standards of society. These blacks marry, raise their children and try to live Christian lives in spite of the evils that ravage their race.

It is kind of funny. Free Masonry, also known as "Scottish Rite" being adopted by the blacks. Many of the founding fathers and Presidents of the USA were masons, I think this impressed the most exceptional blacks to follow suit as a pathway to live their best life.
