And this is what they are willing to admit. May as well assume that 4% is closer to 20%.
Large metro police departments stopped reporting to the FBI, so their stats will show a decrease or slight increase, depending how the data is smoothed; however, it has almost certainly increased a significant amount.
All you have to look at is all of the businesses closing. That alone is a good indication of a EXTREME increase in crime/violent crime/etc. Those mega corps don't really give a fuck about you until they might get sued because you got shot because of a criminal robbing the place. To them, it is better to just close the stores in high crime areas (or never open them in the first place) than it is to deal with the legal issues and product losses.
