I think that domestic violence against men is vastly more prevalent than it is against women. It's just that women don't get arrested or charged in the vast majority of events that they perpetrate. Men are shamed into not pressing charges. I know from first hand experience. "You're a big guy and you let that little woman beat you up?" There's that and most police officers are male and they have no interest in fucking the male in the dispute. The woman, on the other hand... So, who do you think they are going to side with? I even had a judge say to me in court, "She's too small to hurt a big man like you."
