Huh. I thought to myself, "working at 14? thats pretty young. I wonder what state that was in.." Then I found this. Illinois has the youngest minimum age of 12 years for youth working during school hours. If working outside of school hours, the minimum age decreases to 10 years old. I was unaware you could start working at 10 in the U.S.
