Well, the only thing I can do is share my experiences.
Not too long ago (less than a month) a close family member died, she lived with us, died in her sleep. Now, you might be wondering if she died from covid, buy the truth is, she was way over the average life expectancy, so we naturally knew that soonet or later she would pass away. At least she died surrounded by people who cared about her, instead of dying alone in an hospital.
Another thing I can share is what happened to one another senior family member, in short, she got hurt when she fell down so she had to be taken to an hospital, and I kid you not when she told me that my uncle thst the doctors/nurses didn't give her any kind medicine, and for the most part ignored her. In a way, they left her to "die", again, she wasn't sick, she simply got hurt. But what you should take from this is that the hospital, had she been actually sick, would have left her to die. Good thing she was able to tell my uncle so he could bring her back home, and got her some painkillers and rest.
But my main point is that people, well...die. We are mortals, we all got to die at some point, that's just how it is.
