Well, I mean, flu seasons do eventually clear up. I know some people think that it doesn’t exist, but if COVID-19 exists, it’s a virus. Wouldn’t a bunch of people catch it, it cycles through the population, they build immunity, and then the numbers go down? That’s pretty routine, right? Remember a lot of people were arguing that masks and quarantines were going to be destructive because it would prolong the life of the virus before it mutated into something less deadly. Usually, almost always, mutations are beneficial. It becomes weaker. There is a school of thought that says we’ve kept COVID-19 around in an unnatural way, prolong its life, prolonged its impact. I don’t know whether I buy that or not. I just don’t think masks are all that effective in slowing a virus and it’s spread in particular. But, billions of people willingly quarantining themselves and destroying their own immune systems and slowing down the natural lifecycle of the virus could certainly have something to do with its longevity. Again, working from the assumption that it’s real and slightly deadlier than your average virus. So even working from *their* assumptions, everything we did to “battle” COVID-19 was fucking retarded. Another thing to remember is that we threw out everything we ever knew about virology and epidemiology and invented new rules only for COVID-19. Everything we had ever done before for any other virus was out the window. So even assuming the damn thing is real, and assuming it is slightly deadlier than your average seasonal flu virus, it’s a legitimate question: how much worse did we make it by committing medical malpractice as a nation in quarantining healthy people who would’ve helped to mutate the virus into something less deadly more quickly? I mean the idea of removing healthy people from the cycle, taking out our best natural defense against a virus, healthy, young, vital people, removing them from that equation, how was that ever considered a good idea? Here’s the reality of the situation. It’s a virus. It might be worse than a “normal” virus. The media got ahold of a shit study that made a decimal point error, I’m not making that up, and reported that 350 million people would be killed within a short period of time. Once it became clear that this wasn’t going to happen, the media, instead of admitting their mistake, doubled down. They ran with shit information, and once they were caught doing it, pressed even harder. Societal pressure led to physicians around the country and around the world abandoning sanity to conform. They don’t want to be the bad guy! So of course they’re going to repeat the narrative. The media coerced millions of people into buying in something they now can’t let go of because they would have to admit they were wrong and, secretly, they get a thrill out of showing how virtuous they are in wearing their masks and praying for everyone’s safety, and all of that other horseshit. They also get a thrill out of being in a crisis. I mean hell there are now hundreds of thousands of people who claim to have been in the towers on September 11, 2001. This is almost entirely a media fabrication. It’s not even a left/right thing, because both of them played into it. Donald Trump sparred with Nancy Pelosi over who cared more about COVID-19 victims. They shit on each other every day for about three weeks comparing dick sizes over who was doing more to fight the virus. The same Republicans who now bitch about masks and vaccines work, in 2019, claiming that Nancy Pelosi wasn’t doing enough to take COVID-19 seriously. They have convenient memory lapses about that. The media is at fault more than anyone else.
