You basically get to file a workman's comp type claim where a bureaucrat determines your compensation for injury (if any). That's it.

In other words, a person cannot sue a manufacturer for an injury caused by a vaccine or other product listed as a countermeasure, but they can seek compensation from CICP filing a claim. The intent of the law is to urge manufacturers to quickly gear up to combat a possible pandemic without fear of lawsuits. (There is an exception in the law if a person can prove “willful misconduct” by a manufacturer.)(from the article)

So what are my chances for recovery if I'm injured? Basically zero.

Has the CICP made any decisions regarding COVID-19 Claims? As of August 2, 2021, the CICP has not compensated any COVID-19 countermeasures claims. Two COVID-19 countermeasures have been denied compensation because the standard of proof for causation was not met and/or a covered injury was not sustained. https://www.hrsa.gov/cicp/cicp-data

Good luck with that needle. You're truly all on your own.

Thank you for this clarification. I have enjoyed explaining to people that the FDA approved Comirnaty, but no one in the U.S. has access to Comirnaty. The FDA has also said the original Pfizer vax is legally distinct from the Comirnaty vax. All of this was done in record time while skipping several steps.

If we ever take back control of our country, it's important to remember that all laws are now flexible. If the CDC and the Biden administration can arbitrarily declare the personal property rights of landlord cannot be enforced then a future president, CDC administrator, or the assistant city dog catcher can now declare the PREP Act is no longer valid and all lawsuits can proceed. The same is true for any statute of limitations and any corporate shield against company executives or investors.

We are in a dangerous place where the "rule of law" is becoming meaningless. The pot and kettle are beginning to receive distinctly different results for the same disputes depending only on the popularity du jour of either the pot or the kettle. If the manipulation and distortion of these basic systems (ballot box, judicial review, etc.) continues, most will abandon them in favor of alternate dispute resolution methods. The irony: civic systems most benefit the "oppressed" and the incapable; they will suffer the greatest loss when they are gone.
