Out of the 255 invalid tests, 206 proved to be false positives.

Fifty-four of the 206 false positives came from the Regina nursing homes that were said to be experiencing confirmed or suspected outbreaks.

The remaining 152 false positives came from people in Saskatchewan's general population, mostly from the Regina area.

They got caught trying to scare all of the old folks before the election in September.

They ran a bunch of tests. Told many, many people they had Covid. Someone said, "This doesn't look right."

Someone forces the rechecking of 255 tests and find that out of the 255 rechecked tests, 206 of them, over 80% were proven to be false positives. - So my title is perfectly accurate.

What about the other 49?

Well, all it takes for a nursing home to be locked down are 2 positive tests. It is reported that those nursing homes are no longer in lock down. So either the 49 tests were positive and were from the general population (and not nursing homes). Or, more likely, they tested negative through both rounds of testing.

Yes it's true, last month they might have run 300 tests and 90% of them could have been false positives. That's true. If they rechecked every single positive test, the numbers could be even higher. They could be, it's possible. I'm not arguing against that. I'm simply stating that we know for sure is that out of 255 tests they took the time to recheck, 80% proved to be false positives.

Either way, my title is perfectly accurate.

255 Covid tests did in fact result in 206 proven false positives. More than 80% of those tests were proven to be false positives.

You’re right. I accused you of not reading it closely enough, but was guilty of that myself. My bad.

No problem.

Keep fighting the good fight. And don't be afraid to call out lies and misinformation whenever you see it.
