I’m supposedly in the most vaxxed county for the state 73 or 75 percent, huger then Portland an a supposed 71.

Depending on the part of the burbs you go to it’s completely different, one are people will make 90 degree turn away from you or freak out if you go down the same isle as them. Other areas most people don’t care. Sometimes you get a person at an end of an aisle and if you enter the aisle they whip around grab their cart and leave. Some of the older people are more cautious but that’s about it.

My sister who lives in Washington has said the same thing. Now mind you 70+ percent of these people are vaxxed and we only had masks off for a month before having to wear them again starting this last Friday.

My elderly mom lives with us and we didn’t want to kill her since her medicare hmo provides shitty care for covid.

She left for a month to visit her brother so we went out for three weeks for the first time in 18 months. We didn’t want to be the ones to kill her even though with 100+ cousins and immediate family only 2 got sick but fully recovered.

The first place I know people from high school and they’re “conservative” and all they talked about was covid, their vax status, wanted to know if we had been vaxxed(of course lol) and they had their vax cards for their phone home screens. They even didn’t care about the side effects some of their families had. Swollen lymph nodes that needed surgery, thought was cancer directly after the vax, so large they had to be removed and it turned out to be vaccine related, they were “completely full of antibodies” what? I asked antibodies or spike proteins and got black stares.

Then off to Portland for the first time in 3 years roughly to visit friends who are mostly liberals but don’t bring up politics. Nobody brought up vax status or even discussed covid at all. I actually had to ask and they were all like “fuck no, I’m never taking that shit” now this is a mix of mostly whites with a few blacks, mixed and hispanics.

I have no idea how Portland is 71% vaxxed, I didn’t meet one person who had taken it.

The next week we stuck to the first place and that’s all they talked about again and how scary everything is. I don’t get the conservatives are against the vax narrative. That’s all these people talked about for the two weeks we saw them. Talk about boring.
