The truth in my experience is nearly always somewhere else, and it’s usually the more “outrageous” proposition that is simply ridiculed and dismissed.

IME the truth is usually the idea that is best explained by the largest amount of government employee ineptitude, laziness and self interest, coupled with "why would anyone bother to do anything more complicated?"

Of course you don’t just blindly believe the most outlandish sounding theory. You use Occam’s Razor, which most people grossly misunderstand, but depends on weighing all available evidence. In this case you look for evidence that anyone or anything actually got shot at Las Vegas….. then you realize there isn’t any.
