I suspect this is fake. I've never heard anyone claim that the USA lost the most people, pretty sure that is indisputably Russia. I guess the teacher may just be an idiot but I think it's more likely this is fake.
If it was real the teacher would not have marked it. She would have brought it straight to the principal's office where the kid's parents would be called, he would be brought in and suspended, if not outright expelled. Its fake.

They teach the book. The book is US (aka jewish) propaganda. Nothing about what really happened matters. It may be fake but I ran into an similar situation. The book said there were 3 circumstances under which an S corp can be taxed. I said there were 5, citing the IRS code as my source, I was graded as being wrong.
I believe it's real, your misconception is that schooling cates about facts.
