Don’t think this could not have happened. Australia had them for incoming travellers—because people are used to being treated like prisoners during airline travel. China was dragging people out of their homes and sending them to camps, of course. In Canada the government put out a request for bids on quarantine camps.
I’m certain the Canadian trucker protest is what made the rising tyrants all over the Western world scurry back into their holes. Without that more things like this would have come to pass.
