it is more that they both have communist ties, and those bonds run deep. i wonder if their members got to vote on this and what happened in right to work states.
More likely it is the political donations that create a feedback loop but yeah
I've dealt with these people, and it is zealotry that drives the core. The upper people might also get into the money game, but it is a cult and the lower members don't care about money, as long as they can take it from the out group and give it to the cult. They will live in crappy apartments stinking while trying to move money to their preferred set of millionaires. Honestly it pays off since now they can't be jailed or ridiculed for crimes.
No the problem is that the unions and federal govt are tied at the hip.
Unions were initially started by the mafia for a good reason. It's easier to control the government via unions.
