Most police have security guard and private investigator credentials for side jobs, to say nothing of the ones with prior or current military service, so I expect a good chunk of criminal activity will fall under greater scrutiny now that the law enforcement establishment has been cut loose. It's very likely that security contracting companies will be hiring cops to fill those roles, functionally re-privatizing police services.
