Librem computers and phone are as conflict free as you can find in the states. They are working to having all components built in the u.s.
In Europe the fair phone is likely the best choice.

As with everything you cant. At best you are stuck with information you didnt and cant personally verify yet have no clear reason to doubt.

I was being serious. Most of the shit I've seen anyone virtue signal about is built on hypocrisy.
Someone claiming "cruelty free" laptops because they're built in the USA, selling the product on this basis, is still full of shit when they're buying precious metals and premanufactured parts from places that use children in mines, but claiming "cruelty free" because those pieces are then assembled in the first world.
Harley did this with motorcycles. "Made in the USA!" meaning assembled in the USA out of parts machined in Asia.
All I'm saying is I'm skeptical of anyone's business when it's based on virtue signaling.
