So I guess I will, so I was on voat for a number of years, and it concerned me that the owner/admin didn't care and didn't want to accept help from everyone, even going so far as to say his life would be better without voat in it. So I got worried, but hung in there. Then one day it was gone, and it was gone for a week, so I said well, no one else is gonna do this so I guess I'll have to do it, and so I started poal.co and then people showed up, about a week after I started poal all of a sudden the admin was there and engaging again, and he later admitted I was the kick in the ass that got him moving again. Competition breeds success. So if you want to leave for voat I won't try to stop you but I'll say this, I've always been here since day one and I always will and AOU is right there beside me. In my view the owner over there abandoned the cause. I won't do that.

Poal is not filled with spambots, powermods, and a personal army that will silence you in no time should you dare criticize the owners.

I’ve had heated arguments with a user regarding Climate Change. they ended up using ad-hominem calling anyone who disagreed names and eventually gave up and rage quit when they realized Poal doesn’t silence or ban users for being emotional when they can’t have it their way.

That’s the beauty of free speech.

Voat can be a rougher place and an echo chamber at times. Not a bad place, but it could do better.
