I remember that. We got an antelope that fall and they were already scrawny going into winter. Perils of the Prairie. Wyoming can be a brutal sumbitch in the winter. Got a buddy east of Cheyenne and the snow and wind didn’t let up at all this winter. Ten foot drifts. Roads were snow canyons. I always considered Fourth of July to be the first day of winter in Wyoming. That held true for pretty much all of the seventies if’n I remember right.

There is still a lot of crap winter weather going on in the south east of WY. Nothing unusual about that though.

Definitely not an area I’d choose to live in. My brother near Grand Junction, CO has got snow again today. They’ve had fair good amount of snow this year over the previous years. A buddy in SW Minnesota has been hammered regularly with snows, winds and frigid temps as well. In the SW here we’ve seen considerably more rain than we’ve had in quite a few years.
