Fair point if you live in a country with cheap diesel. In Europe you'd likely drive cheaper with an EV after a few years.
Unless you will drive long distances, I'm pretty sure the average diesel car will still be more efficient.

This could change in a few years.
The problem is not only about efficiency though. Electric cars are supposed to be greener than a diesel, until you check what generates the electricity they require.

Sure, that and the overall damage done from resource production to recycling. I still like how they can accelerate.
