It won't stop. Micron didn't dump Crucial as a rushed decision. They planned this well ahead waiting for the AI data center boom to reach fever pitch. These DRAM and flash makers as well as Intel, AMD, Nvidia and so on have chosen to abandon the consumer markets in favor of the megabucks corporate AI circle jerk. Go see how little came out of the recent CES event. They didn't bring anything to the consumer market. Everything was about corporate AI. We'll be renting computers in the cloud next year. It's over for us but the shit won't stop.
Maybe I should be willing to work on-site at a chip fab. Seems like that is going to be a safe job for a while until everything is automated (I would be working to automate it).

I just ordered a turn 9 7460h (think that’s the numbers) 32gb/1tb for 369, gonna run ollama on their local so when all this shit implodes, I’ll still have an ai box that can point me into a good direction for shit I don’t know how to do. Or math I am shit at.
But point is, most can run on very old hardware and get by if they don’t God worn the nigger faggot route of windows.
