Anyone experience this before?

This morning I noticed my bluetooth stopped working. Windows 10 is saying I don't have a bluetooth controller. I checked in BIOS and it is enabled.

I tried force restarting everything bluetooth in device manager. Drivers are said to be up to date.

I then deleted the driver and went to reinstall and the ASUS software is saying there is no bluetooth hardware connected. So I'm thinking the hardware took a crap.

Anything else I should try before calling it a day and buying a PCI bluetooth controller? Looks like they are only around 30 bucks.

Here is another stupid thing that I have seen work.

  1. Reboot into bios. Disable anything and everything you have related to the bluetooth stuff.
  2. Boot into MS. Remove all drivers related to the device. (and any installed software if you installed something from the motherboard disk/website).
  3. Shutdown entirely. Flip the power switch on your PSU to 0 and hit your power button a few times. (yeah, sounds stupid, sometimes this works).
  4. Boot back up into MS, confirm everything else is working. Shutdown entirely again.
  5. Boot into the BIOS, Re-enable the stuff you disabled for the Bluetooth. Save/Exit (reboot).
  6. Go to the mobo website and download the drivers from there, cancel/ignore if MS tries to install drivers for you.
  7. Install the manufacture drivers and reboot.
  8. Throw chicken bones or dice, hope it works when it comes back up.

I have had that work with a system before. Only reason I am suggesting it.

I'll give this a try later and report back.
