I know. Instead of my normal sarcasm, I'll give an answer i believe is correct: they're trapped. They moved to Commiefornia, found housing, got a job or welfare benefits. Now they can't leave because the benefits aren't anywhere else or they're upside down on their mortgage and can't sell. That's pretty much it. They may also be betting that somehow things will turn around. Spoiler alert, it won't. Also, misery loves company.
Upside down is likely. But so many can’t plot their way out of a hang nail.
Rip the bandaid. File bankruptcy, in 5 years you can get a loan. I know a shit bag that’s done that twice.
But there are options, people just don’t want to make difficult decisions.
But then again they should stay there and fucking die.
