From the post:

>A peaceful city in the Bay Area has been shaken by plans to open a huge homeless encampment in their neighborhood. Homeowners in San Rafael only learned about the plan a few months ago - despite Mayor Kate Colin revealing that city officials have been mulling over the project for years. Resident Frank Mason said he felt 'blindsided' after learning of the project through a press conference held near his home in October. 'That was how they introduced it to the neighborhood,' Mason told The San Francisco Chronicle.

Thanks. Yeah it’s a little tough. I actually grew up in San Francisco proper in the 70s. It’s pretty rough seeing what that place has turned in to. Moved here to Marin in the 90s (lived on a sailboat for some years before buying a house). Sadly I didn’t realize the rot had already taken hold. We moved north in to deeper Marin but the rot is just following. Crime here is still crazy low, but we hear sirens every night now. 20 years ago it was silent. And it’s all the fault of the liberal residents which make up about 75% of the county. All of them are idiots. All of them are boomers or boomer-spawn. Marin (a jewel) will fall soon. But I’m gone in less than six months. Fuck it. I hope it burns.
