Here we go: another way to fund illegals in commiefornia by giving a pass to invaders while forcing the white population to subsidize them. This time by issuing fines based on income.

Is it bad enough yet?

And even more people from California will be fleeing to my state which they will ruin by continuing to vote Democrat...

Initially I missed this nugget:

with an option that will allow low-income individuals to perform community service in lieu of paying a fine.

Good post. That detail is key. Otherwise I would be in favor of this policy that would affect everyone in a more equal way, but if there is a detail exactly like the one you point out. The law becomes something different, fees for the rich or not poor, and no fees for the poor, or (more likely) lazy and financially irresponsible.

My biggest problem with the proposed law is that it treats people unfairly. I also don't like the idea of automated fines. It's no longer about safety but is a revenue model.

I understand your point but the government should not be in the money redistribution business. It robs Peter to pay Paul.

Commiefornia has a state income tax and you are required to file a tax return. The police probably look this up and send you a bill.

The ramifications of this tyranny will be interesting to watch. Just when you think Commiefornia has gone off the rails, it just keeps getting worse. Communism isn't an ideology, but a sustained tyrannical system designed to trap and kill you.

Sue. The law is an absolute. It either applies equally or it does not apply at all.

The law is applying equally I this case. It is the punishment that is being applied unjustly
