You have to wonder why they even have overhead lines if all they do is fall and catch fire when someone sneezes too hard.
The long distance transmission lines I get - there's no other way to do it, but locally? Bury the stupid things, especially in the hills.
Much of our infrastructure is very very old and would take significant investment to bury.
Where I live, the lines haven't been updated since the 50s.
Underground through hills is unrealistic beyond measure. The hills there are difficult to even walk through.
