yes, that too but I meant the earners are taking up permanent residence in their vacation homes; the covid trend has not slowed down. Office space occupancy in most urban areas is dropping. Many budget ramifications for urban tax bases. It is weird to watch. It's like White Flight in the 1970's except on steroids.

It would seem that we don't really need cities anymore. Which is weird. And expensive, infrastructure wise.

I agree cities are expensive and unnecessary today. This has been exacerbated by liberals and criminals. Agreed, white flight has decimated once vibrant cities. Today, they are hollowed out shells of their former greatness. ... man that was interesting. It will take a while for New York to turn into ashes, but it's well underway.
