>While an official opening date has yet to be set, tickets are now being sold for the $71-million Mighty Argo Cable Car gondola in Idaho Springs for trips beginning on May 9. A ribbon-cutting ceremony originally planned for Friday has been postponed because licenses for the gondola and an elevator are still pending, according to Mary Jane Loevlie, founder of the project and part owner. “May 9 is the outside date, but we’re going to do the ribbon cutting before that,” Loevlie said. “As soon as we get our licenses and stuff, we will be able to set the (opening) date.” Ticket prices start at $49.95 for adults, $29.95 for children ages 6-17 and $39.95 for seniors and military (active and veteran). On-site parking is priced at $14.95 for four hours.
