The Thornton Police Department said the incident started at 4:30 a.m. after a call for shots fired at an apartment complex. TPD said at least two people were injured — including the one dead — in the shooting, and that a pursuit took place after the suspects fled in a vehicle. The pursuit ended at 56th and Federal Boulevard after police used a pit maneuver on the vehicle, TPD said.
