Just before 11 a.m., the Colorado Department of Transportation said I-70 between Exit 240 – CO 103; Idaho Springs and Exit 248 – Beaver Brook/Floyd Hill was closed for safety concerns. The roadways have since reopened. The National Weather Service said this snow on I-70 will make for some slick travel near the Eisenhower Tunnel and Vail Pass until about 9 a.m. or 10 a.m. when conditions improve.
