Mesa Ridge High School officials were “made aware of possible guns on campus” shortly after 9 a.m., principal Joshua Trahan said in a statement to families. The two weapons were then found and confiscated by the school resource officer and other safety personnel. A spokesman for the sheriff’s office did not immediately respond when asked if anyone had been arrested. In its statement, the office said deputies were at the school and that the investigation was ongoing.
