Why would you? Even if they can keep 16th "safe" they can't keep the area around it safe and you don't want to get robbed, stabbed, shot, or have your car broken into or stolen because you had to park 2 blocks away.

Public transit is a mess with constant drug use and murders.. Its a shitshow.

>The years-long construction on the former 16th Street Mall is wrapping up this year, and most of the fences have come down. While some people love the new area, others still won’t step foot downtown. What was known as the 16th Street Mall is finishing up a major reconstruction project, where blocks from Market Street to Cleveland Place are being revamped in what’s expected to be a $175 million project to bring life back into the city. After adding new ground-floor realtors, patios, trees, art installations, security and a new name, most of the blocks are now open to the public.

Man, that is a dick move. Never heard of people doing that but I grew up in the middle of fuck all nowhere and not in Colorado so life was different.

I guess 50 years ago a dime went a fucking hell of a lot further though so maybe I can see why they would go for it anyway. Still... Dick.

You could actually get a cup of coffee for $0.10 in the 70s. $0.20 would get you a hamburger at McDonald's or a taco at Taco Bell - and they were both real unadulterated food then.

Definitely a dick.
