I so just don't care anymore. You used up all of the limited social credit you had with all of the bullshit over the last decade. Fuck off, get back in the closet. I don't CARE. You are the slippery slope.

"Let gay people get married" to "We are going to F*** your kids, you cant to anything about it bigot" in just 10 years. No wonder everyone hates you now.

Yeah, starting programs you have no idea how to fund without emergency covid funds you can repurpose then ask for "forgiveness" and cash later.. Who could ever figure that would not work out?

I could expound on that sooooo much, but I'll dox myself badly if I do.

Oh I am sure we both would. I know a lot more about all of the bullshit than I would like to. I left gov work for a reason. Private is still often corrupt as fuck too but at least they don't lie to you about it... most of the time.

The thing is (and I think this is fairly safe to post), I legit think that the districts around the Springs DO work in the best interest of the population. I can't speak for anything north of Monument, but I can say with a lot of support to it that D8, 3, 11, 12, and 2 all have some fairly decently people on their admins running the show. The biggest issue is the priorities each district assigns. For example: D8 claims they don't get military money (Bullshit, them and 11 get MAD military money) so their schools are VERY modern and new with the best teaching equipment inside. However, their staff salaries do not reflect this. They also do nothing to allocate for school expansions, so Fountain Middle School in D8 is the former high school that had to be repurposed. Now that the Covid funds have run out, downsizing has hit those schools. So as an example, Fort Carson Middle school, with it's new polished surfaces, shiny chrome, expensive landscaping, are all fucking up their funding BAD because they have had to downsize maintance staff badly.

Then on the flip side, you have a district like D3, which is old as fuck (Almost all the buildings have major asbestos hazards), pays all employees 3rd worst in the entire state, and can't afford new equipment on any level. But because they also serve some of the more....lower income families of the area, they've had to cut already tight budgets BAD because they HAVE to maintain the food and clothing outreaches because the community rely on it so heavily. Without the Covid cash, they are now facing a turn over rate of over 100 teachers this contract period, and between 50-75 non licensed (Depending on Turnover between now and July) because they're having to do a salary freeze or go insolvent.

I say all this, making it sound like it's incompetence. It's largely not, at least on the top end. The middle management can be debated. But when your stuck in a tight situation, with ever mounting community demands, and less and less money every year to do what you gotta do, it really adds up to a fucked situation all around. Mind you: I am not a fan of teachers as a whole. I think they're pseudo intellectuals who have a bloated opinion of themselves, as well as having a God complex. But I do feel for what they have to deal with on a daily basis, and the magic they have to perform to do it at times. All while having to meet some really fucked standardized testing numbers that make or break their careers.
