This isn’t any different than you trying to buy a stock, the big guys having sniffers on the purchasing accounts, stopping your trade momentarily, swooping in and buying thousands of shares to drive up the price, so that when your buy goes through you’re actually buying it a higher amount. Then they sell immediately after and pocket that revenue. How that is legal is beyond me, but it is and the little guy gets screwed millions of times a day.

Not like this is new or anything. In the Denver metro the apartment you rent changes price DAILY if not faster.

If you are at a "low demand" time, you get a better monthly rate than someone that rents a few days later. It's kind of fucked up.

Landlords always try to get the most rent they can, supply and demand… the problem now is that allowing millions of illegals into our country is driving up demand.

I don't understand why people don't get this.

Criminal illegal aliens as well as legal immigrants cause housing prices to go up everywhere. You don't like what food and rent costs? You should be in favor of mass deportation and even signing up to do it yourself, there will be plenty of new jobs at ICE I am guessing...

They use it at the complex I'm at. When I argued that nothing had been done to my apartment that they promised, I was told they couldn't change the rent because the computer dictates the pricing. I was also told I would not be allowed to break the lease I already signed without being fined thousands and the landlord told me I would never be able to find something on such short notice. I was completely screwed.

They are running this complex into the ground and so have many empty units. My rent went up by over 1/3 from 2019 -2021 because of all the Californians moving here. Now that that rush is over, they have empty units from all the evictions of ghetto fucks, my rent does not go down a penny but has stayed exactly the same the last two years. I asked the office if I could get discounted rent since they have 6 of my style of unit open.

Again, the software decides. So I said fine, how about I don't renew and then just get a new lease for this unit. Besides confusing the hell out of the office tard, she then explained the tons of fees and fines for not renewing and getting a new lease. I asked her how all the ghetto fucks they are renting to afford all the new fees and she handed me a brochure for loans...loans for rent, renter's insurance, and loans for fees. It's insane.

I'm guessing the complex gets kickbacks on the loans so dealing with the evictions and property damage is worth it for them.

That is the root cause, if the software were available to renters that would be no problem, they’d see exactly what landlords do negating the asymmetrical information and making it a fair transaction. But the millions of illegals flooding our country are artificially driving up demand and pricing out Americans, which is a much larger problem.
