I'm sure they have some preliminary evidence to prove it's a hit-&-run incident but leaving out key details is also suspicious. One thing I noticed after they passed the Lane Filtering law, numerous dudes on sport bikes thought that meant they could lane split at 80mph. In just one trip from the Springs to Denver, I counted three sport bikes splitting lanes to pass cars that were already going almost 80mph.
Last month, my buddy's son was speeding on his sport bike, splitting lanes at about 90mph and a guy intentionally swerved into him causing him to wreck. The son is okay, save for some road rash and a sprained wrist. He's lucky to be alive though. That incident alone makes me question what a guy on a sport bike was doing at 1am and how fast was he going.
