I believe they are mostly a political. There are people that want a sense of community and social relevance and so they purchase a ticket and go watch the flashing lights on stage. And then they purchase another ticket and it becomes a lifestyle.
The Taylor Swift phenomenon is designed to appeal to mid-wit white people with a sense of nostalgia. She is the only “wholesome” appearing white person in the entertainment industry. She is trolling the bottom for all of the people that were not caught in the gold toothed rapper net.
Quite frankly it’s a brilliant strategy but they’re drawing it out too long. 20 years is long enough that even the normal people are noticing.
