The tax was originally passed to promote tourism, to bring more tourists, now they’re planning on using it to build workforce housing at $700/ ft sq and provide free daycare for low income workers.

Our Habitat for Humanity houses must also be “green”, no natural gas or propane allowed, doubling or tripling the cost to heat a home in the long winters.
