I bet you money that if it were for Jews or Muslims that it would be allowed and free. Citizens of Dillon. You now know who you need to vote out or get recalled/fired/etc. Get to it.

From the post:

>A tiny Colorado town has been plunged into a national debate after stopping a church from using its amphitheater for Sunday prayers. Town officials in Dillon blocked all non-town sponsored groups from using the space - including Dillon Community Church which had held events there for 42 years - after being inundated with rental requests. The decision has catapulted the 1,000-person town to the center of a debate over worship in public facilities.

Don't make bets if you didn't read the article

Then, earlier this year, other groups including a (((synagogue))) and Native American tribes asked the council to use the space.

Hatred for jews aside. Everyone should be allowed to use the amphitheater. The fact that the town charges rent for it is ludacris. I've seen many towns and cities do this. They build a structure that no one asked for and demand rent to use it. Then they pick and choose who can use it and the building sits empty 90% of the time because people don't want to pay the rediculous price they ask to use a building no one asked them to build and the rest get turned away.

Fair enough. Also, yeah. Tax dollars paid for it. For commercial use it should cost but for non-profit and citizen use it should be free. Only exception being if you need to pay for a cleanup crew or for an AV tech to be there for the event. Even then, let the group bring their own people to do that.
