It would be about fucking time. I am amazed they have enough $$$ to stretch out a "proper opening" this god damn long. If you find yourself in Denver for some stupid reason try to go to Casa Bonita. You won't find a place like it. Apparently they actually have better food now too.

From the post:

>Casa Bonita will be the subject of a new film, and this one isn’t a cartoon. A documentary about the Pink Palace and its journey to reopen under the ownership of “South Park” creators Matt Stone and Trey Parker debuts at the Tribeca Film Festival this week, offering moviegoers a glimpse behind the scenes of the historic restaurant’s revival. Premiering Friday, “¡Casa Bonita Mi Amor!” follows Stone and Parker from the time they first considered buying the Lakewood landmark they visited as kids growing up near Denver to last summer when it officially reopened, albeit in a limited capacity.

I went there in February. The food seemed decent, but not actual texmex that I know from texas. The kids got a huge bowl of chicken tenders and fries, those where just as good as the adult meals. The atmosphere and shows were the main appeal. The magic show was actually pretty cool.

The kids seemed to love the place, thats the intended target audience I suppose.

Yeah, it really is for kids. First time I was there I was very young. The last time I was probably in my late 20's maybe early 30's but it was just to see what it was like after that long.

If you have kids, its a great stop because its food and entertainment. I guess the prices are a lot higher than they used to be though.

$8-20 for an adult meal (most items being 15+) and $8 margaritas if I remember right.
